Easter

Today reminded me of THIS Easter from 3 yrs ago. Except this time instead of 1 sick baby, we have 2 sick kiddo's! YUCK! So there were no pretty Easter dresses and no church for us today. Boo.

Brenika is coughing up a storm... and Dirk just started in with the super boogers and he is so grumpy. Poor babies. But that didn't stop us from celebrating a little bit!

On Friday we made Easter sugar cookies with some Easter themed cookie cutters... but no pictures. Yesterday we dyed Easter eggs!


I found a glitter egg kit, and that was interesting.... not doing those again, but they sure are pretty!

I FINALLY finished Dirk's basket to match these ones, just in time for the Easter bunny!!!


Brenika was so excited to have a NEW (to her) Disney movie!!! She wanted to watch it all day long.

The Easter bunny also brought these AWESOME chairs for the kids to sit in! They are a big hit.

While we were eating lunch today (Hard boiled egg sandwiches, yum) we noticed TONS of people parking across the street at the Golf Course and heading out onto the grass. There was a golf cart out there dumping tons and tons and tons of candy everywhere. We didn't even know there was a hunt there! haha So Trent hurried and took Brenika over before it started.

He said she was being really slow and not trying to pick up all of the candy. I honestly think she was looking for suckers and candy candy, not chocolate.






Here is what she came back with! They were only over there for 10 min. Pretty Sweet for spur of the moment!


Trent made us a yummy dinner of BBQ Spare Ribs, potatoes, rolls, and yummy asparagus, thanks to Bountiful Baskets... yay!

We definitely missed Grandpa's egg hunt and finding the golden "$5 Bill". And we missed celebrating Lily's 2nd birthday with everyone tonight. It wasn't very Eastery this year.... but we had a good day at least! We are VERY thankful for our Savior and all that He did for us. Life doesn't get any better than that.
