So.... normally I would poke fun at all you Twlight lovers out there. HAHA Don't get me wrong.... I'm still not a super fan like you are. I read the books, I see the movies, but I am NOT an Edward fan (can you say gag??) and can you say... HellllLO Jacob! YUM! (He's still no Zac Efron though. Mmmmmm.)

ANYWAY.... I get the whole obsession. It is a good love story. And... I have an obsession (britney spears anyone?) HAHA... so, I thought I'd have some fun with you this time around... instead of AT you!

David Lanz

Remember my super sappy post about how my sister got me tickets to see David Lanz in concert? HEHE Well... it was tonight! It was so great!!!!! Monica bought me 2 tickets to take whoever I wanted... I of course took her! My mom and my cousin Cheryl and her husband Clay came too. It was absolutely amazing! I've never seen a pianist in concert before... I know almost all of his songs by heart (not on the keys but in my brain of course) and it was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G to see him play them. We had front row stage left seats and could see him playing. When he would talk to the audience he kept making eye contact with us... haha... it was cool. I know it, I'm a total NERD! I even got teary eyed a few times... hahahahha.

Monica was tying to be sneaky with her camera because NO ONE was taking pictures... so she turned off the flash and we snapped a few. Not the best... but you get the idea! It was funny because while he was playing... we were going to take a picture, but the light coming from his silver hair... on the camera... kinda looked like a ghost from ghostbusters. HAHA We started snickering cause it was so funny... I know, we're rude.




After the concert... I had already left and my sister called and said as they were getting ready to walk out he was signing autographs! I had bought a couple books so I turned around and ran back in. We were able to meet him and get our picture with him.

We all wanted to know how big his hands are because some of his songs we can't reach the 10 key spread that he can. So Cheryl asked if she could put her hand up next to his! HAHAHA So awesome!


He was the nicest, funniest (you wouldn't ever know!) guy and it was simply astounding to watch him play the music I've been playing for almost 18 years! I think I learned my first song from him, Prelude to the Dance, when I was 10, from my first and BEST piano teacher ever, Teri Pratt. I even memorized that song and played it at the recital.... and I remember because I forgot a part of the song because I got stage fright and I just ended up sitting there not remembering what came next. HAHAHA

Going to that concert tonight made me realize how talented I USED to be and how I have simply let it fall to waste. I haven't practiced or played nearly as much as I should have. Half the time Trent doesn't even remember that I play!! haha I'm so thankful for the calling I have as the Primary Pianist so that I remember to use my talents and continue to keep up on them. How I wish I had a piano in my home so that I could play. I miss it.... watch out Mom, I'll be coming over more often!!! :)

HAHAHAHA. (Yes, I've read them... I know that doesn't happen in New Moon... sue me). I merely just wanted to poke a little fun at my friends that are in love. Sorry Carly... Kami... Heather... and whoever else is a die hard fan. Even though I do think that Jacob is hot... way hotter than Edward... and as I read the stories and compared them to my life... like ALL of you do... I totally married my Jacob!

That's right... a new single from miss Britney Spears. See.... I make fun of you, but, I do have my own quirks. What can I say.. once a fan, always a fan.... so even though I made fun of you... I TOTALLY understand having an obsession... well... I really don't understand it because they are fictional characters in a story.. where Britney is a real person...but whatever...I try! :) To each his own...

Oh.... and can I just say... that neither Edward nor Jacob is as hot as HIM...

Memory Monday... Super Fan

I thought it only appropriate that since the Britney Spears concert is on Tuesday... WAHOO... that I would post some of my Britney pictures. I WAS a super fan, now I'm still a FAN... just not a SUPER fan like I once was. HEHE Let's define it this way, I will pay top dollar for her concert tickets, but I don't HAVE to buy every magazine that she's on the cover of. You understand. HA... you probably don't, but that's okay. A lot of people are obsessed with Twilight (which I do NOT get at all) and they probably think the same of my Britney thing.... to each his own I guess!

This was at the first concert I went to with Danica... in 2001.. her "Dream within a Dream" tour. It was AWESOME! I almost cried when she came out on stage. HAHA

So I of course took lame cheezy concert pictures that NEVER turn out good.... This was SLAVE 4 U

Don't remember

It started raining during this song... so awesome....

K stalker moment.... HEHE... so, this is at her mom's house in Kentwood Louisiana. My brother moved to Louisiana, and we went on vacation to visit. We looked up how far away it was, and it was a 3 hour drive. We were bored... so we decided to go. HAHA It was just me, Justin, and Brette. When we got there I was too embarrassed to ask where her house was, so JUSTIN went into the gas station and asked the girl working there. She told him where to go... and probably thought he was a weird stalker dude. HAHAHAHA Man, I thought it was GREAT!

So this is in front of her gate that says "Serenity." Since it was dark by the time we got there.. we couldn't see much of her property... but you get the idea.... it's where SHE LIVES... man, the things you'll do when you're a fan! HAHAHAH I crack myself up!

Before you proceed... let me explain how this "room" started. Ya know how they say if you have a bad body image... that you should put up pictures of bodies you want to look like to "inspire" you. Well, I wanted a body like Britney... so I first started cutting her out of magazines and putting them on my closet door. This is a close up of that closet door....

Well.... I then became obsessed with getting anything that had her on it, and cutting it out... buying it, keeping it... and putting them all over my walls... as you can see. SO... THIS is my Britney room.... I'm actually ashamed to admit it, ah... who am I kidding, it ROCKED!

My mom HATED it! HAHAHAHA She wouldn't let any little girls down there, because she thought it was just horrible. Really, it was just for fun. I took all of these pictures right before I took everything down.

Hey at least Ben was saved a spot!

I think the 32oz cup on the wall is the BEST... and I still had it until recently... when someone decided to wash it in the dishwasher and it got all faded and ruined. hehe I was only mad for a second.... :)


Bet ya didn't know I was such a superfan did ya????? AND... NOW YOU KNOW why my dog is named Britney!!!! I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited for Tuesday! Man, I think I just peed a little!

The Letter S

My friend Leslie had a fun little tag thing on her blog that I wanted to do. She assigned me a letter of the alphabet… mine is S… and I have to name 10 things that I love that start with this letter!
These are in no particular order!!!

Sleep… I love to sleep.. whether its sleeping in, taking a nap, or just getting a good night’s sleep, I love it! Waking up on my own schedule feeling refreshed and not having to hear an alarm… it’s GREAT! I used to be the queen of sleeping in… I could sleep til 1 or 2pm. Kinda pathetic really, but I love sleeping. It’s hard to get sleep now that I’m back at work… but I’m SO LUCKY to have such a good baby that sleeps. She must be just like her momma getting her beauty sleep!!!!

Squishes… OH… these are my FAV! Squishes are better than hugs. Danica and I discovered squishes a long time ago… when we were talking about how when you love something or someone SO MUCH you want to SQUISH the crap out of em! So I started making my nieces and nephews… and anything or anyone else that I JUST LOVED…. Squish me. You wrap your arms around em tight and say SQUIIIISSSSSSSSHHHHHHES… when you hug them really tight. THEY ARE THE BEST! If you’ve never hugged someone as tight as you can… then you HAVE to try out the squishes. I give them to my dog, my husband, my baby, my sisters, my nieces and nephews… and I LOVE THEM! There is nothing that makes you feel better than a big Squish!

Sticky Fingers…oh one of my favorite foods to eat are the Sticky Fingers from Wingers. They are like the perfect flavor of sweet and spicy and they are boneless and breaded and OH SO YUMMY! I love Wingers… mmmmmm mmmm!


Smiles… Smiles always brighten your day… but ESPECIALLY when they’re from your baby! There is nothing better than having your baby smile at you! You know they love you no matter what when they smile at you… and it is THE BEST part of being a mom!

Shampoo… This is kinda funny, but I love a good shampoo. Oh man… especially when Becca does my hair and massages my head when she shampoos me…. Oh, feels GREAT! I love to try out new shampoos too! (And all hair product for that matter… I’m a product junkie!). I especially love any shampoo that has the tea tree tingle effect in it and it makes your scalp tingle! A must have for me though, is my purple shampoo…. Makes my blondes look that much better! I decided that I have to stay blonde… hahaha.


Singing… I love to sing. I’m not all that great but I can carry a tune and hold my own. I love belting out songs while I drive in my car… but I don’t do it as much anymore. When I lived in St. George and would drive back and forth all the time I loved singing for the 4 hours straight. A few of my favs to jam to... Britney, Mariah, Gwen, Linkin Park, Eminem... to name a few. I even love singing Hymns at church and just singing in general.


Shaved Ice… not all shaved ice, just mostly from Hawaii! When I went to Kauai with my sisters and my mom, they had the BEST shaved ice place (Jo Jo's). They put macadamia nut ice cream in the bottom and the flavors to choose from were AMAZING! I’d live in Hawaii just for the shaved ice! HAHA There are some good places around here in the summer too… which is dumb, they should have them year round! Nothing better than flavored sugar over ice! But it’s the best with the ice cream in the bottom. The Honolulu Grill in St. George has it too…. And it used to be right next to where I worked down there. SO YUMMY!


Snuggling… I love snuggling with my hot hubby! It’s so nice to be wrapped in his arms while we’re watching TV or a movie. I love it! Funny story… when I was pregnant I didn’t want to be touched. I was SO HOT and uncomfortable all the time that it was just annoying to have anyone touch me. I would honestly move Trent and be like “Stop touching me” if he was anywhere near me. HAHAHA Brette’s boyfriend, Chase, had only known me pregnant. So he never saw Trent and I snuggle or anything and we lived at my mom’s house so they were there all the time. Well after I had Brenika, we were at my parents for dinner and Trent and I were snuggled up on the couch and Chase walked in. He did a double take and then sat and stared. Finally he said, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you guys touch before… that’s kinda weird!” HAHAHAH I didn’t really notice before that I didn’t want to be snuggled with, cause I really do love it! I even love snuggling with Britney. She is the warmest snuggler.

Survivor… I love the show Survivor. My Dad was hooked on the show from Season 1, and so have most of my family. We love watching it. It is probably the BEST reality TV show, and it was the first one! I would love to apply, but I know I couldn’t handle the bugs. I keep saying I just want to be on it so I can get all skinny! I really would like to see my Dad on the show.. he’d be so funny and so fun to watch. Brette wants to apply, but you have to be 21… so hopefully it’ll still be on in a few more years so she can be on it! If you’ve never watched Survivor, you have to! The new season starts February 18th! And it looks like a good one!!! WAHOO!


Savior… this is an obvious one, but I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. Who would any of us be without Him in our lives? He loves me, would do anything for me, has died for me, and will always be there for me. THIS I know without a DOUBT, and I am truly grateful for Him. I would be nothing without Him, and I strive to live my life the way He would want me to live. I am not perfect, as He is, but I do try. I only hope that I can continue to do what I need to do in this life so that I can make it back to live with Him again.

Twilight!!!!

Gosh I feel so left out cause everyone is posting about Twilight.. so I thought I would join in the fun and see how many comments I can get for what I say!!! hehe

I am not making this up by the way! You can ask my Aunt Krystal.. cause I told her the same thing after I finished book 3 last year and she about disowned me.

I think they're cheesy! I haven't seen the movie yet, but I will. I read them cause Krystal recommended them to me. I couldn't put them down. Not because I'm so in love or obsessed with them, but I love a good book. They were good books. But... a little on the super cheese side. I really liked Twilight.. and then the second book totally disappointed me to no end.. it was stretched.. and the third was even worse. Nope, haven't read the 4th yet... again, I will. I love to read.. throw a book at me and I'll read it. I like books a little deeper. Now, The Host, that was a dang good book! MUCH better than the Twilight series.

So that's my beef. Take it or leave it. I just wanted to join in the "TWILIGHT CRAZE" and laughed hysterically on THE SOUP last night on E when Joel McHale was also making fun of everyone. HAHAH

So I'll see the movie... and I'll keep reading her books. Do I own them? NOPE! HARRY POTTER ANYONE? I'm so pissed that this was the weekend Harry Potter was supposed to come out... and they decided to wait until July... so Twlight took it's place. Totally lame... Harry Potter KICKS THE CRAP out of Twilight! HEHE

High School Musical!

So last night I took Kat, Tees, and Tai to see High School Musical 3. I wanted to do something special for Kat because she was baptized yesterday. But.... really, I wanted to see it. Not because I like the movies, but because I have a HUGE secret crush on Zac Efron. MAN... he is so hot! HAHA Seriously.... if I was a little girl I would have pictures of him all over my room! So.... it was nice to have my nieces and nephew around to have an excuse to go watch this dreamy man on the big screen! HAHAHAHAH I kept telling Kat that he's hot, and she would get all shy cause she agrees!

TOMORROW!

TOMORROW is the day people... 08/08/08... opening day of the OLYMPICS!


That is right... and I am excited. GO TEAM USA! Mainly Gymnastics is all I care about, but I do love to watch Michael Phelps break records..

He WILL get 4 Golds to hold the world record of most Olympic Gold Medals, I just know it!

I like sprinting and diving and other stuff too... but GO SHAWN AND NASTIA.... you can get it done girls!!!! WAHOO!


(Too bad I haven't had this baby yet and won't be in the hospital with something to actually watch on television!)

Blah Blah Blah

It's the typical Monday for me, except my boss is gone until Thursday. And can I just tell you how HAPPY this makes me? So... this means I get to save all of my work until he comes back, so that I look EXTRA BUSY on Thursday and Friday! HAHA I got this in an email and thought it was fitting....


As for now, I'm just chillin listening to some of the greatest tunes EVER! I love Mariah Carey!!! I have liked her music since 7th grade... thanks to Justin and Alesha of course! I might even like her as much as Britney... she definitely is more talented... and I do have all of her albums too...HAHA Her new album came out last week, and me and Brette split the cost. I keep the CD, she gets it on her IPOD. It's a sweet deal I have to say. We both love her... and her new album rocks! We are definitly going to her concert if she tours... even if she doesn't come to Salt Lake, we'll go to Vegas. I've ALWAYS wanted to see her in concert, and I'm SO GLAD that my baby sister feels the same way!!! YAY! So.... I'll quit rambling and get back to my sweet tunes now......
